Always love this place! Got kids winter gear all finished and for 1/3 the price of Target. Plus they seem to be the only place in Topeka, Kansas to find kids winter gear...especially boots! I just want to send a shout out to several staff, especially Christy and a couple more men that I didn’t get their names, who helped me on Saturday. My 83 year old mom has dizzy spells and had one in the store. I got her to lay on the floor until the spell passed. The staff kept checking on us, asked about the need of an ambulance, got water and Powerade for dehydration, helped me get her to the car once she felt up to moving and showed genuine care for her. After getting my mom back home and settled, I went back to the store to get the microwave for my mom that we had been shopping for. I got another hug from Christy and the GM even paid for the Powerade I went back to purchase that we had used. In a day and age where customer service isn’t always the greatest…I just had to send out another thank you to staff for helping me yesterday. And a thank you to several shoppers who showed concern and asked if we needed anything, too. All is well that ends well. We ordered a fireplace for delivery before we knew the big storm was on the way. We thought it would arrive just in time. Our luck was not that good. Robert said the storm might delay the delivery. I didn't think it would fit in my aztek. I was willing to try and pick it up early. Robert made it happen. He got the order ready early for me to pick it up. So it fit and just in time. Unfortunately it was damaged. I called and explained it was damaged.I was told they would swap it out. So on a cold snowy day they came out and swapped me out. Well the second one was damaged too. We did however have it for the coldest night of this year. The second one was not as damaged as the first one. We asked for a discount to just keep it and save the hassle of returning it. They agreed. Thanks menards for going the extra mile. Looking for an item on husbands birthday list. December 18th, 2025 about 3:00 PM. My app showed it was in stock, unable to locate item. Clerk in tool area explained there was an issue with the shipment of this item and after helping me search for it he found the store on hand inventory to be incorrect. He immediately corrected the inventory and then took the time to locate the nearest store that showed they had it in stock. He gave me the direct # for tools for that store so I could call and verify they had it in stock prior to my driving there to get it. Very helpful !
