This is a new store and it had its grand opening and block party yesterday. My son said that he wanted to go and I thought that would be a good idea and so we both went. It's a great place.
We went first into the store and saw one of the volunteers there. She explained that this is a non-profit store. Its intention is to provide lower-cost food for people directly in this area.
The fact that they only charge for the cost and not for their own profit helps with that. They need to make up for that with volunteerism and donations.
One of the things you can do is at the register donate up to the nearest dollar. She also said that money goes to pay for food from their own stock and it goes into a free food refrigerator pantry.
I was impressed with the quantity and quality of food for sale. They had good beers and I sampled their wines outside the store. Very good. I think some of their food vegetables and so on are from their own locally grown Matthew 25 Garden. They also have things li

They have a large selection of frozen meals, desserts, cheese, dairy. I love how many different types of refrigerated uncured meats they have.
I never have problems running in and out even though it is located on a very busy street.

Always enjoy NewPi! Don’t forget their sandwiches. I used to get papaguyo hot sandwich often in Iowa City when I lived there. I ordered it from the CR location recently and it was pretty tasty. I remember it being spicier though and wish it had a little more kick but overall great sandwich. Check them out if you are craving a sandwich.

Lisa was super knowledgeable and friendly when I was trying to find a bed set that would match my existing (discontinued) furniture. I really appreciate employees who are helpful but don't stalk you around the store - she answered my questions, and said she'd check in later. She even let me know a couch set I've had my eye on just came out with new colors... I will definitely ask for her next time!

I had the BEST experience at Bills today! Everyone was so friendly! The merchandise was perfect and you can’t beat the prices! I had a young gal work with me and she was so patient. I’m so indecisive when it comes to decorating! She didn’t care one bit! 10/10. I had a gentleman help me with my bedroom furniture and answered every question I had. Didn’t push anything extra on me! 10/10!! Honestly no joking a round here I won’t furniture shop anywhere else going forward. I have a whole house to furnish in the next few months! I can’t wait to go back!!
