Are you looking for a sweet bookstore in Indianapolis? I took a walk down the culture trail from the Hyatt place and the journey was well worth it. I found a wonderful used/new bookstore that has literacy programs. Feed my book addiction and help others? Pick me!!

What a fantastic book shop! The vibes are immaculate of course, but the books are equally as glamorous. From old fan favorites to new novels, this place had everything. The shop is set up with ease and finding books was a breeze. They had lots of cute decor around, and some totes and stickers for purchase. The staff was really nice and they even have a book program you can sign up for if you’re local. They also had tables outside which was nice to see people reading at and enjoying their coffee. The area nearby is very walkable, with many locals stopping in. Definitely stop by if you get a chance, one of the best bookstores I’ve been to!

My favorite bookstore! If they don’t have a book they can order it for you, but they have a great selection for the size of the store. They also have rotating art, book clubs, and host/support community initiatives. I’m happy to have them on the east side!
(Also bonus points for sweet potato the bookstore cat)

All the guys at Black Orchid are top notch barbers/cosmetologist. I had really great experience. Finding someone who understands how to cut and style hair for someone with alopecia can be difficult, but the barbers here were incredibly skilled and respectful. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and worked carefully to create a style that looked clean, natural, and confident.
What stood out the most was their patience and attention to detail. They didn’t rush the process and made sure everything was blended perfectly. They also made the whole experience comfortable and welcoming, which meant a lot. It’s clear they truly care about their clients and take pride in their work.
If you’re someone with alopecia or thinning hair and you’re nervous about getting a haircut, I highly recommend this place. They know what they’re doing and treat every client with professionalism and kindness. I walked out feeling great about my haircut and even more confident than when I walked in.

I was extremely pleased with my first experience at Chop Chop! The staff were very welcoming and Olivia got me all straightened out after a year of poorly cutting my own hair at home. Convenient parking next to the building, relaxing atmosphere inside, and everyone was wearing masks. Overall just a well run establishment!

My husband is super particular about his cut. He has been looking for a good barber for awhile. I am not exaggerating, his barber did such a phenomenal job, not rushed, super clean, and definitely crisp.

Straight up do not come here. I walked in and got seen within minutes. I was getting my head shaved and things were going okay until my barber handed me the mirror and said okay we done. He shaved the side of my head and some of the top, but that razor never touched the back of my head. I paid $40 for an unfinished shave. I had to go back to my hotel room and shave the rest off in the bathroom. I even told him there is hair on the back of my head and he was like nah I shaved it off. I was kinda thrown off and didn’t want to make a scene so I dipped. Also the barber’s fingers stunk like cigarettes. Something easy like a head shave was botched so quickly.
Update- shout out to the manager of this place for stepping in and talking to this barber. The manager refunded my money and reached out to me to apologize for one barbers actions. Class act of a move.

Dyvon was the first barber I went to after moving to Indy and I’ve never had a reason to look elsewhere. He provides excellent service and I highly recommend that you sit in his chair when you need a quality cut. Some of the best haircuts I’ve ever had have been from him and that’s just in the few short months that I’ve been going to him.

Ordered by phone night before for next morning pick up. They were packed when I arrived so much so that I had to park down the street 😂 I was in and out within minutes though. Thanks Longs for making my daughter’s birthday brunch special! Everyone enjoyed the donuts. Longs NEVER disappoints …

Very small and cute bakery! They had a lot on the menu not available! I did try the butter croissant. It was alright. Not the best I have ever had. I think Amelias bread is better! Do really enjoyed the wheat rolls! Very good with some butter! Service was nice and fast! Definitely recommend to try this place out!
