I happened upon Shampooches salon the day before my standard poodle puppy, my husband, and I were heading on vacation the next day. I stopped in and explained the situation and ask if they could squeeze in a puppy trim and I was delighted to hear that- Yes, they could fit me in quickly. I was very impressed by the grooming station area and a small clean salon. Several groomers were working on their dog-clients and I could see the patient and gentle demeanor they had with their dog. I met the groomer my dog would work with and was immediately at ease. She answered my questions, was very knowledgeable, and discuss how she would ensure a positive experience for my puppy’s first grooming experience in a salon. I do try to groom my puppy every day to keep her used to the different tools, brushing, and “messing with” the face, ears, and paws that need to go on for groomong needs.
