Absolutely fantastic service. My wife and I presented here with minimal bike knowledge and the need for a new bike and the sales associate walked us through multiple models around our price point. He took time to describe all the specific features and pros and cons of both. We ended up trial riding two separate bikes and they were very accommodating. After choosing a bike they got us set up with only necessary recommended bike add-ons based on our preferences. We had a fabulous experience and will come here again for bike needs in the future. A fantastic spacious place for bikes and bike accessories. The workers are friendly and competent with answers to any question i could think of. Where do I begin -- Our experience with ICS was beyond amazing. I have worked in various bike shops for the past 5 years, only recently leaving the career field to pursue something new. With that being said, I know my bikes. I often refrain from sharing this during bike shopping, so as to not come off as a know-it-all, and to see if the salesman tries to upsell me or sell me on upgrades I don't really need. This was certainly NOT the case with Ron at Indy Cycle Specialists. I came in looking for a new recreational mountain bike for my fiance. Ron talked thru the options with me and gave me an assortment of different models and options. He was willing to put a bike on hold for me for a few days, no deposit required. When I came back in the next day with my fiance, Ron talked her through the bike (it has been over a decade since she's ridden one), and taught her all about the differences between a modern mountain bike and a bike she may have ridden 10 years ago. Scott built a new 700 rear wheel for my ICE recumbent tadpole trike. ICE builds a 6mm dish into their trike wheels. I had a really great time going to Indy Cycle Specialist about a week and a half ago! Scott, who's the owner is a really great, kind, amazing, nice guy, who's got a great staff! Usually, some sort of bike is getting worked on or fixed, which is always cool to see! Scott's a really down to earth guy, who from my knowledge, primarily mountain bikes; it's always a pleasure to talk to him and see him😄! They were cool enough to let me use their bathroom when I went to pick up a parktool hex wrench multi-tool for my track bike! Customer service was great, like I said, everybody's really friendly and really helpful as well! If you're in the market for a new bike, wether it's a road bike, mountain bike, or whatever, Scott's got a HUGE, vast selection of them. While he doesn't have my favorite brand, TREK, he's got SALSA, GIANT (which is really similar to trek), and SANTA CRUZ, which are all phenomenal brands! He took his time and search a couple of times for the right back rim for my son's bike. The store is in Scenic historic irvington, and is full of friendly Hoosier bicycle enthusiast. I'll be back. 100% the best bike purchasing experience I’ve ever had. In all fairness, I’ve known Ron for many, many years. I told Ron I wanted to get a new mountain bike. So a buddy of mine and I met Ron at the shop over the weekend. The shop is amazing. The staff is amazing. You’ll leave there with the best bike to fit you and your budget. Their knowledge on bikes is beyond impressive. I’ll never consider buying a bike anywhere else. Long story short, we left with two bikes and two huge smiles! I love this place. I've had my bike tuned up there before, which was a fantastic experience. Today I bought a bike from them (a beautiful Momentum Vida), and Ron was a huge help in the decision-making process. No pressure, just knowledge. Returning to biking after many years away, I didn't know exactly what I needed, but he caught my vibe and found the perfect bike for me. The prices are better than other shops I've been to, and the wealth of knowledge is unmatched. They'll very kindly spend the time you need to find the right fit for you and they're fun as hell in the process. Love love love! I love this place. On a whim, and in greater interest of buying a motorcycle, I popped into ICS to possibly acquaint myself with 2 wheeled transportation. I am a complete novice with near zero knowledge of bicycling. The first day in Ben was extremely helpful, answered all my questions, and gave me answers to questions I didn't know I needed to ask. I also was guided to test ride 2 bikes. The experience left such a good taste in my mouth that I returned the next day, test rode 4 more bikes with the help of Nick and others, and left with my first Surly Preamble bike. This is about as good as customer service gets. If at all interested in bicycling, visit this place ASAP. The bike I was shown at ICS ticked off all the right boxes (Giant Revolt). This is the best bike shop I have ever seen. Family-friendly with plenty of choices for the kiddos. Showroom is huge, clean, and packed with new bikes plus accessories from lightweight tools to bags, lights, mirrors, helmets, safety equipment, riding apparel and more. First off the bike shop is huge. They have a great selection. I went in pretty much knowing what I was looking for. Ben showed me everything they had that fit my list of wants. I bought my beginner Giant Liv there five or six years back and when it was time to upgrade last summer, there was no question that Scott (the owner) would have the best options for the bike that would meet my needs. They do repairs, and the have great accessories for any adventure. But the best part about ICS is hands down the people who work there. I would recommend them to any one any time. Indy Cycle Specialists is by far the best bike shop I’ve ever come across.
