Oxbow Rum Distillery

Me and my wife did the tour today! What a great time, John did the tour and he was super informative about the history and all the interesting things we were looking forward to. Pete made us a few cocktails and those did not dissappoint! My wife even had a mocktail and she said it was awesome! I would say the old fashioned was better but, I may be biased! My husband and I had a great time here! We stopped in on our way to see the Tigers play 💜💛! We tried a rum flight and Caleb was awesome and very knowledgeable. He is also very creative with the frozen cocktails. Thank you for the recipes!! Loved the decor! We would definitely recommend you stop by if you're in the area. Dory and John are amazing, they not only took the time to know us personally but they brought their local knowledge to the experience we received. We felt loved and appreciated with them. Had a great time posted up at the bar here for a few hours. The people here are so friendly and knowledgeable, the time flew by. The drinks are excellent and unique. What a beautiful gem in Baton Rouge! Creative cocktails, some frozen and some on the rocks, made with care and fresh ingredients! I’d recommend the tiger smash (on the rocks or frozen) and their hurricane (again in the rocks or frozen). Their rum is made from freshly and locally sourced sugar cane. Incredible tour! The team is really upbeat and it’s clear they are passionate about their product. The cocktails were tasty and the tasting guidance really helped highlight what made each rum unique.
