I was an Equinox member for 7 years, and decided to try OT when I realized I was primarily using them for their classes and spending $260+ to work out at one location (Culver City), which I enjoyed thoroughly, but I wanted to give the class only format a try after several people, I’m using my own friends, raved about this OT location. Let me cut to the end: if you’re talking classes, Orange Theory blows Equinox out of the water and wins.Within a week I knew I was switching: the classes are organized and smaller (you have a number so you know exactly which station you’re going to), science based (your heart rate monitor I used the whole time), the classes are more effective (some Equinox classes are better than others), check in is even easier and so is parking. The members here are friendlier to each other because you wind up seeing the same people all the time, but the classes are perfectly lit (you never feel like anyone is looking at you workout) with great air circulation and tempe
