About this role

Health Care Provider Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, participates in the development and implementation of all health care setting nursing education programs, operational standards, policies, procedures, and strategies. Serves as the Chief Nursing Officer in their absence and ensures optimal utilization of resources, service delivery, safe patient care, and compliance with all applicable regulations and nursing standards of care.

Responsibilities

Provides clinical leadership over day-to-day nursing operations and strategic nursing management plans
Develops staffing plans, assesses performance improvement programs, and presents research-based recommendations for nursing practices
Collaborates with senior leadership, medical staff, and other departments to develop and implement clinical integration strategy and nursing policies
Participates in planning nursing training programs, recruitment, and retention of nursing personnel
Interprets regulations, responds to bioethical issues, and participates in budget planning and expense control

Required Skills & Experience

Deep understanding of nursing operations, staffing methodologies, and patient classification/acuity systems
Valid New York State license and current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
Proficiency in workforce management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Master's Degree in Nursing Administration or related field

Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and proficiency in communication and collaboration
Six years of nursing experience, including four years of progressive nursing management
Proven ability in team management, delegation, and staff evaluation
or equivalent combination of education and experience
