Senior Accountant – Practice - Balbriggan We are hiring an experienced Practice Accountant for our client a modern, technology-driven accounting practice in Balbriggan, due to continued growth and increased client demand. This role is ideal for someone with strong practice experience who enjoys working across accounts, tax and client advisory, while contributing to the development of systems and junior team members. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: €58,000.00–€74,750.00 per year Benefits: • Company events • Flexitime • Sick pay • Hybrid Key Responsibilities: Client Delivery & Technical • Prepare and review annual accounts under FRS 105 / FRS 102 • Prepare and review corporation tax, income tax and VAT returns • Manage a portfolio of SME clients and act as primary point of contact • Handle technical queries and provide practical, commercial solutions • Deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines • Support payroll queries and statutory submissions where required Practice Operations & Systems • Maintain accurate working papers and documentation standards • Use cloud-based systems to drive efficiency and automation • Contribute to continuous improvement of templates, workflows and processes • Support onboarding of new clients and system migrations • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards Team Support & Development • Support and mentor junior team members • Review work prepared by trainees and part-qualified accountants • Provide feedback to support development and technical capability • Promote a collaborative and supportive team culture Commercial & Advisory • Identify opportunities for advisory work, tax planning and value-added services • Support proposal preparation and pricing reviews • Build strong long-term client relationships Experience & Skills Required • 3–5+ years’ experience in an Irish accountancy practice • Qualified Accountant (ACCA / ACA / CPA) • CTA qualification or strong tax exposure preferred • Strong experience across accounts preparation, CT, IT and VAT • Excellent communication and client management skills • Strong organisational and deadline management ability • Experience with cloud accounting platforms – Xero, Sage, Hubdoc / AutoEntry, Karbon, GoProposal • High attention to detail and professional judgment For more information, please apply through the link provided for the attention of Paula Tavares or call Osborne Recruitment on .
