Considering where it's at, how the area smells, and man, does it smell. I was surprised to walk into the halls of this establishment. From outside to inside was like the color transition in the wizard of Oz and smell hits you in the face like an intentional foul in baseball. Everything is baked fresh for the most part, breads are too soft to cut at 7am. Sandwich bread first thing in the morning dissolve in your mouth like a fresh bake croissant. So yes, there desserts do stand apart, and the food with fresh baked anything elevates it. And lastly the service was just awesome - so friendly and patient and kind. If anything, it's a little on the pricey side. But what do you expect during these hard times and asking for freshly baked goods. Parking might be a hassle if you come during rush hour.
