We had some unexpected issues after moving back into our home this fall. First, we noticed a slight gas smell in the basement, and our CO₂ alarm kept going off, so we had to call the gas company to check for leaks. Around the same time—right before Thanksgiving—the weather dropped and our furnace suddenly stopped staying on or heating properly.
Our contractor contacted Maximum Heating and Air Conditioning, and they came out within a couple of hours. During the first visit the furnace seemed to work, but about 15 minutes after they left it shut off again. I reached back out, and they returned within three hours. They immediately noticed the furnace was behaving oddly. Marcos suspected a vent issue and, even though it was already dark outside, he got the furnace running well enough to keep us warm overnight.
