Normally great experiences with National. But this winter, it wasn't that great. The car I got (Altima AWD) was shaking above 50 mph. It was very snowy and icy in Anchorage. So it would've been more prudent to have winter tires in Alaska, but that's not the case with the cars as they came with all-season tires only. When feedback was given to the receiver upon return, she was like, "our tires are good" ... yeah ... might be a junior employee, but surely a better training would've been to at least be emphatatic to the customer. I know due to cost savings, rental companies will not change to winter tires just for the winter, even though this is Alaska and the roads are expected to be icy and snowy. There were so many accidents on the road - ditches, spin-outs, turned-turtle...
