When our Bunny girl got sick, I was too worried to wait for the appointment she had the next morning, and brought her to VERC. The staff at VERC all treated Bunny with such compassion and care, and I felt safe leaving her in their hands for treatment. Her rapid decrease was sudden, confusing, and one of the hardest times of our lives. However, Bunny's doctor was amazing. She kept us very informed while she was staying at the hospital, and helped talk me and my husband through about our options, being honest and open about what each option would look like while still being compassionate, all of which was truly what I needed in that moment. I made the impossible choice to let her go, and the staff at VERC made it as smooth and comfortable as it could be. We were allowed as much time as we needed, and when the time came, her doctor was so incredibly supportive and exactly what me and my husband needed at the time.
