It was my first time with mobile grooming, and it was recommended I not do it again. Here’s why. I figured a mobile groomer would be better for my old, tired 105-pound Akita since he wouldn’t be transported and have to wait however long in a crate. My dog has trouble walking and standing for even short periods of time. The groomer was on time, and it took us both to get my dog in the vehicle. He’s big, and the space is small. Part-way through, my dog lost the ability to stand. The groomer did her best and even de-shedded him. When she opened the door, fur billowed out of her vehicle like smoke from a burning home. We had to use a harness to get my dog back in the house. She said that from now on, I can bring him to their business, and they can make sure he doesn’t wait in a crate. That and there will be help on hand if they need it. I’m looking forward to it. I was apologetic, and the groomer was accommodating and understanding.
