I needed some guidance to eat right and keep an optimum weight in preparation for a major surgery. Mary Jane met that need and more. I don't like the way a lot of nutritionists give a diet chart specifying exactly what you need to eat each day of the week - I find that restricting and boring. What I liked best (and what really worked for me) about Mary Jane was her flexibility to treat my case as unique and work with me towards my goal. She had the right advice, and she ever so gently nudged me in the right direction with a lot of information and open discussion. Her encouragement helped me stay the course. Even when I deviated from her recommendation and tried to find my own way, she was open to seeing how that worked and then tune my approach in a way that was still a healthy way to go. Mary Jane has a calming presence and is a true professional. I will trust her with my health again, any day!

I scheduled an appointment with Mary Jane when I made up my mind to 'get real' and take control of my eating/exercise habits - I'd been having way too good of a time eating/drinking however I chose. Mary Jane listened to my story (without judgment) and laid out a very common sense approach to establish a better relationship with eating/exercise and drinking - its 'lifestyle', not a diet or punishment. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in nutrition and exercise and has a CALM and lovely personality. She explained in the simplest way (using rubber food) to ACTUALLY show you what a portion looks like, recommended an exercise program that is easy to stick to, gave guidelines regarding alcohol consumption, advised to eating slower, and to drink enough water. I've lost 10lbs. in about 2 months, all of my clothes a looser, my skin looks great with less inflammation, and I have a ton more energy - and have never once felt deprived with this new approach.To my surprise, a few weeks afte

I learned so much about myself, what foods I should be staying away from and how to get the nutrition I need. What I liked the most was their patience, clear explanations and that the suggested adjustments were manageable. I struggled for years and now just feel good.
