I stumbled across this winery on Harvest Host as since I was traveling thru the area, I decided to give it a try. When I first arrived, there were few people there, and the owner spent time explaining the history of the winery, the various grapes, and some wine making terms. Soon, the place was getting crowded with many patrons, and so I bought bottles of wine and headed to my RV. The owner was concerned about people parking close to me and stayed in touch via email while there to ensure I had a comfortable stay. My favorite wine was the Black and Blue Berry. Little food selection since they don't have a kitchen. The roads getting there were no different than any other place you go off the regular mainstream in hilly areas. Read more

Support #local business and pop in for a tasting or event(live music outside!). Conveniently located off I-65 on a pretty winding road up the hill. Brooks Hill Winery makes a great #sidetrip if you're passing through and want a quick stop or a refreshing break. AND, you can snag some #souvenirs and #gifts while you're at it. You can buy Brook Hill wines at stores around town, but I was in the area so popped into the winery's retail shop. The incredibly helpful, camera-shy shop attendant helped me find a nice selection of wines for an upcoming cookout including a sangria kit! I also got some bottles for personal use. I can't wait to try the Chocolate Razz -- Raspberry wine with hints of chocolate! Great prices on #local wine! Most bottles were around $15. Beautiful, fun label art. Wonderful selection of all the wines -- dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, sweet, red, white, rose, fruity, flavored, and tasty normal wines. Seriousl Read more

The attendant was dealing with pain from sciatica at the time, but it did not stop her from providing us a great experience. My wife did a tasting and purchased a couple bottles of wine before we headed home. It was a nice touch to see that some of the wines have been named after their dogs. Read more

We were hosted by Hunter, whose customer service was absolutely excellent! The wine tasting allowed for a good variety of tastings and Hunter was a great guide. I went with the Cherry-Cranberry, Annie’s Autumn Apple, and Old Bullitt wines. All delicious! Please support their establishment. We’ll definitely be back in the future. Read more

They have a great selection of sweet wines, and the service is exceptional. Great selection of nick-nacks and small gifts. Nice outdoor seating, too. A must visit if you're in the area. Read more
