It seems like Downtown Rahway is becoming a nice destination for food and drink after having lunch with my colleague two doors down at Nancy’s Townhouse. We learned about this nearby establishment from our server, and some of us tried out their watermelon beer made with real watermelon, which was ridiculously good. Named for the individuals who ran for office during the 1930s with the intent to repeal prohibition, Wet Ticket Brewing is a small local microbrewery on Main Street, where we were welcomed by the owner and head brewer, Tim, who invited us in even though it wasn’t open to the public until 4 p.m. The atmosphere is open and friendly. Big windows make the place feel welcoming. Patrons find themselves at the counter, reading a large chalkboard of the various alcoholic concoctions available, posted high above the heads of the servers. The list includes the poetic Spanktown, Grapefruit, Kick-the-Bucket Brown, Watermelon Wheat, and Kolsch. One can even buy a "growler," or jug, to ta

Great spot. An open square-sized area. Well-lit; no sophisticated "mellow" lighting. Flights of 4 = $7.00. Great variety of brews: Stout, IPA, ales, etc. Growler fills. Bottled and canned beer available. Can host events here.Beer flavors. Overall good. A couple of real nice IPAs. The mango wheat beer was a miss for me.

Solid brewery. They have a decent selection of solid beers. Friendly staff. Stop in to try some high caliber beer and enjoy some high caliber food! Parking can be tough, but not a deal breaker. Taproom is cozy, but not cramped.

We had a great time at Wet Ticket this past Sunday for my husband's 40th Birthday Brewery Crawl! Wet Ticket was our last stop on our crawl. Tim was extremely accommodating to our group and ensured that the 3 tables in the back brewing space were available to us when we arrived. I love that we were able to order pizza and bring it into the brewery to enjoy with our beer while we celebrated. We were served right away and the beer was 10/10 for everyone! We will definitely be returning!!

The local craft beer bar has enough space to sit down and enjoy their drinks. They have a flight to try different drafts. I also like that you can purchase to go containers. The seasonal drinks like watermelon wheat ale are top tier and highly recommend everyone to try them. Overall I enjoy everything in their collection and that you can buy it not just in their bar but also nearby stores.

Smaller place, in an old Woolworth’s store. Decorated with paintings and a surf board. Smaller but a chill atmosphere. Parking can be tough to get in street, paid garage directly across street. I parked a few blocks away for free near post office. One of the IPA’s I considered excellent and the second one I had and the two my girlfriend had were very solid beers. Tap list had a decent amount on it neither on the large side or small side. The beer tender was very pleasant and talkative. A few tables were in production area behind some glass doors. There was an outdoor area behind the brewery but I was not outside. Food places nearby if you like thin crust pizza make a right and a few doors down. Recommend for sure.

Wet Ticket is a great spot in downtown Rahway and serves the community well. They have a great variety of beers of all styles. The staff will help you with recommendations and pairings. Prices were pretty reasonable for pints and flights. Plenty of food places nearby that you can bring into the brewery for food. Only complaint is that it’s small inside so seating can be limited. Other than that definitely try when visiting Rahway.
