Whether you are looking for a venue for an elegant wedding, a large corporate event, or a small meeting, Waterfront Botanical Gardens offers striking settings for both indoor and outdoor events. Our beautifully-designed Graeser Family Education Center can hold up to 250 guests at round tables and features a conference room for meetings that doubles as a Green Room for brides. Additionally, the plaza surrounding the Education Center can accommodate up to 500 guests. Established in 2019. Waterfront Botanical Gardens is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that was started by Botanica, an umbrella organization for the local gardening community. In 2001, Botanica learned that it was the beneficiary of a trust established by member Helen Harrigan, a local gardener with a desire to see a botanical garden and conservatory built in Louisville. Helen’s gift reshaped the focus of the organization, and we set about our work to create Louisville’s Waterfront Botanical Gardens. The Gardens officially opened to the public in 2019 with the opening of the Graeser Family Education Center. In 2021, the Ellen T. Leslie Educational Classrooms opened to host all of our adult and youth education programs. The Gardens have developed approximately 4 acres out of the full 23-acre site, with much more to come!
