My journey as a wedding officiant started just two short years ago when my best friend promoted me from bridesmaid to officiant. Legally they were already married, so there was no need to become ordained. I would be performing the ceremony in front of my second family, so there was also no reason to be nervous. After months of proofreading vows and preparing my script, it was time for the wedding rehearsal, and the nerves kicked in. You would have thought it was me tying the knot! Finally, the wedding day arrived and my nerves turned into adrenaline, and I was on a mission to make their day the best day of their lives! It was an amazing day, and I realized that this might be my thing.
