Just got a guitar lesson with Valencia Music's newest addition to their roster, Zach. Now I've been playing guitar for about 8 years or so. My music education has consisted of books, DVDs, Internet. But nothing beats having an experienced instructor in person. Zach is the real deal. He is very patient and I felt very comfortable with asking him any potentially dumb questions. I look forward to future lessons to fill in the gaps of my playing and taking my skills to the next level.

I started singing lessons at Valencia School of Music when I was 17, and over the next two years my singing improved dramatically! I entered Valencia School of Music as a shy singer with no knowledge of proper technique, and I left feeling confident with my voice and an immense amount of knowledge about my instrument.Prior to Valencia School of Music, I had gone to other places for voice lessons where I felt as though I wasn’t learning nearly as much as I could. I had grown very frustrated and wondered if I would ever find the right fit for me. It wasn’t until I arrived at Valencia School of Music that I finally felt like I was around informed and passionate teachers. I am came to the Valencia School of Music with a very specific goal. That goal was to be able to learn a song on guitar to play at my wedding as a tribute to my soon to be wife. I took lessons for three months and started off at a very slow pace. I worked directly with Zach. Zach was patient. He was understanding and he gave me the right tools to help me practice what I learned in class, while I was at home alone. After three months, I have mastered the song and I am geared up and ready to perform at my wedding in August. I also want to note that when I originally signed up with Valencia, I was also taking lessons at another school. I took lessons at two schools for a month because I wanted to see which school had the most to offer. After four short weeks, I decided to stick with Valencia School of Music! Thank You Zach ! I can't want to perform this wonderful song for my wife in a few weeks.

It was difficult for me to hold pitches, but now I’m so confident about my sound and it feels so much better to get on a stage not nervous about my sound not shaking. My daughter has taken voice and piano from Kelly at Valencia for nearly 5 years and I am continually amazed at the progress she has made and the opportunities she's been given. The spring showcase is a favorite highlight of the year, as is getting to perform at the street fairs. My daughter enjoys learning all different styles of music and getting to perform both solo and in groups. Kelly has become a positive influence in my daughter's life not only as a musician but as a young adult as well.

Jose Valencia is a wonderful guitar instructor! My younger son has been taking guitar with him for a few years now, and he absolutely loves playing. He really enjoys his lessons with Jose. Jose is patient, cool and kind, and is also great at gently pushing my son toward success. Liam has already done two recitals, and he did so well, with Jose playing beside him. I was immensely proud of him! Liam has now also taken up the electric guitar, which he is really enjoying! This year, my older son has started lessons with Jose as well. He likes them very much! My boys have different personalities, and Jose is great with both of them. He is very encouraging. Jose is a remarkable instructor, and we all love him!

We love Valencia School of Music! Kelly and her team make all the classes so much fun. And the concerts are a blast for the whole family! This is the only extra curricular activity my son willingly attends, he looks forward to class every week!

My son has been taking guitar lessons from Jose for two years now. We couldn't be more happy with Jose and Valencia in whole. Jose introduced guitar to my son and made him love playing it. Jose understands kids and pushes them when they need and eases off as required. Recently my son hit a wall and Jose instantly recognized it and eased off so that my son doesn't lose the love of playing guitar. He is now back on track and loving every lesson. My daughter cannot wait to take voice lessons from Kelly! She listens outside while we are waiting for my son and Kelly is giving lessons to others and my daughter has picked up a lot just by listening. She is just waiting to grow old enough to take the lessons. Hopefully Kelly has opening for her when the time arrives! I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the teachers at Valencia! They are a good addition to our community and I am glad that they are here in Westfield!

My daughter instructor Mr. Chuck is an excellent teacher, very patient always smiling and have great approach for kids. My daughter couldn't wait to go for piano lesson with Mr. Chuck. Valencia School of Music is THE Premier, A1, top notch music school for any child at any level. My daughter 7 just started her first month and all she talks about is Ms. Kelly, Miss Isabella and all the amazing teachers at Valencia. She returns home and runs to her casio piano or her drum set and shows me everything she learned that day! My daughter tried other schools and classes but none compare. We love this school and will be here for the long term

My son has been taking voice lessons with Kelly for almost three years. He has made such a tremendous progress! Kelly is very professional and a great voice teacher. She taught him all the right techniques. He is now developing into a quite professional vocalist and easily passing auditions for kids musicals and even thinking about the career in music. But not just classical, he can now easily sing the pop songs too, and he is a lead singer for the local children band. We can't be more pleased and I highly recommend Valencia Music for children lessons.

Jose has been My daughters guitar instructor for over 2 years. His teaching style is perfect for her. He is accommodating, kind and patient. Jose also does an incredible job of catering to my daughter's taste in music. She is always excited about whatever new song she's learning. Jose knows how to challenge Her so that she continually improves. All of these qualities have made my daughter's musical experience exactly what it should be - fun, challenging, fulfilling and motivating. I love to hear her play. Incredible place. I worked with 4 teachers so far and they all have been awesome. Khay, who helps organize schedules and customizes your schedule according to your needs/wants, has also been a absolute pleasure to work with. They are very generous with make up classes as well!Editing to specifically mention Mark. I almost don’t want to write about how amazing he is so he doesnt get fully booked! 😂 He is not only an amazing guitar teacher but also helps me improve my song writing and gives me practical recording tips. LOVE Valencia School of Music!!!! My oldest, now a Freshman in college- found Valencia when she was entering 6th grade and has enjoyed classes from private voice lessons, to summer camp musical productions, to Lead Singer in the Rock Band organized by Valencia. The owners, Jose and Kelly are excellent to work with!!! Very encouraging and have helped shape my daughter into the young adult she is now. Fortunately my son now takes drum lessons weekly at Valencia and is having the same great experience!!
