We craft walks that hit all the right notes for nature lovers, history buffs, foodies, and let's not forget, couples and singles who like to walk! Many of our walkers return year after year, often doing multiple walks with us each year. Come on 12 Wayfarers Walks, and #13 is on us!
Named by National Geographic Traveler as one of the '50 Tours of a Lifetime' and by National Geographic Adventure as one of the "Best Hiking Companies. Established in 1984. Our company was started by three young men who set out to make a career of "wayfaring" in and around Britain. Those first few years, they invited friends along on their walks, and each year the groups grew as the Wayfarer friends shared their experiences with other friends. Before long, The Wayfarers had become a circle of Friends, with Friends from the UK and Europe, but also US, Australia, Canada, South Africa and other places around the world. In time our destinations also grew. Though we still specialize in UK destinations, we're known for outstanding itineraries, with the same attention to detail, around the world. We've built a reputation for creating walks that feature local culture and history as much as our profound love for, and delight in, nature and walking out in the natural world.
