Man so I took my laptop to a franchise repair shop right down the road a few days before. I was told that my laptop is essentially bricked and data recovery was impossible. I took it here for a second opinion and in a matter of TEN MINUTES he was able to access my data and preform the data recovery the same day. He even diagnosed my laptop and presented me with all my options. Mind you, the franchise store took four days to present me with their diagnosis and ultimately could not help me. Long story short, shop local and go here for all your electronic needs.

Well, its oh so hard to try to beat a previous 4.5 rating :-) So here I am, a small-time (and part-time) computer support person trying to recover from the post-COVID economic nightmare, trying to regroup/refurbish some of my existing inventory towards attempting to sell it off. I meet both Brad & Ricardo, as I presented my situation trying to refurbish a Toshiba Portege up for sale. Ricardo was oh so professional & courteous as he delved into my laptop. During that episode, co-partner Brad was very congenial with professional small talk. Following Ricardo's near-lighting speed assessment, the synopsis being disappointing, he was kind enough not to charge me anything! I wanted to offer something, but he declined. And so since I lost my previous Authorized Toshiba Repair Center during COVID, I now feel I have been. Give them a shot :-)

They're professional, educated, reasonably priced, and local too. They'll open up your system when you bring it in and run a diagnostic right there and let you know what your system needs. I spoke with Ricardo. He was super knowledgeable. My USB-C port went out on my laptop computer. He let me know that the port was sawdered onto the motherboard and shared the bad news that the I would need a new mother board at approx. $900. He then recommended trying a USB-C to USB-A dongle. If this works, it is a $9 fix from Amazon. Refreshing to work with a company that is knowledgeable, fair and honest. Earned my five stars!!

I don't know what magic Ricardo practices but he somehow managed to fix my laptop within seconds of arriving. My laptop suddenly ceased charging today on an unbelievably busy Monday and sent me into a frenzy. I tried both of my charges and every outlet I could find in my office but nothing made it charge. I updated and shut down/restarted it and still no luck. I get to this computer store and Ricardo gets it to work immediately! He also went through and checked numerous other things on my laptop which I didn't even know about. There were numerous hidden updates that I didn't know about and my computer is now running better than ever. Thank you Ricardo for turning my Monday around and being a top notch guy as well! He took his time to answer my questions and concerns, and he explained in great detail why he recommended certain things. Every choice he made regarding my computer and its needed service was logical and always in my best interest as a customer. The clearing he did was excellent and required meticulous work. He additionally did stuff he didn't even charge for, which assisted in my computer's performance. It is a little spendy but I highly recommend bringing your business to Tech Forge Computer.
