I was in Louisville for a work trip and wanted to commemorate my first time to Kentucky with a tattoo. After trying a different local shop that didn't have time to get me in, I found this one by chance and I promise you my experience at The Tattoo Shop Downtown was better than anything I expected from the other shop. The entrance is through the Barber Shop so be aware of that, and expect a friendly greeting and a great time from the Barbers as well. I didn't have a strong idea of what I wanted to get, and my artist Niko and his apprentice Marcus helped me narrow in on a design that will both signify this trip and have additional meaning for me in a short amount of time. Went to 3 different tattoo parlors trying to get a small tattoo and nobody would take me in! Called The Tattoo Shop Downtown and talked to Niko! He brought us in and was so excited to have us come into the shop! I absolutely love the feel of the “dive bar” type setting of the shop itself, it’s so welcoming. Niko was so light handed!
