Finally a place that doesn't not wreak when I walk in. I have tried several different boarding places and have been thoroughly disappointed. This is the only place that I've found that smells normal when you walk in (not like pee and poo) and has stuff for you to purchase right upon walking in. They even have a little cafe area where you can drink free coffee and watch your dogs on the big screen tv. They also have someone on site 24 hours a day. Dogs eat and sleep separately, and have fun and play together inside and outside (like it should be)! Some of the places I tried prior did not even have an outdoor area... Finally a place with the vibe, safety, and communication I have been looking for. I also appreciate that I did not see workers on their personal phones or blasting music that is not calming for dogs. Literally this place checked almost every box off. The only change I would make is for them to have a full time receptionist that is there solely for checking all pets in and ou

Friendly and accommodating place. It’s nice that they have activities for dogs and dogs can socialize with each other. I am happy that they have pet success program to help digs that are reserved and shy.

Great experience. It was our first time leaving our dog somewhere other than the groomers and we were concerned to find him scared and nervous as he is a shy pup but he came home all happy and relaxed so that says a lot about the treatment he received by staff! We will definitely be coming back!

Tails did a nice job in trying to get my dogs acclimated to their faculty and guest dogs. The rep thoroughly explained their services and made recommendations for one of my dogs that was overwhelmed being there and needs additional training.

Took my fur baby for a 4hr meet and greet session at Tails of Hawaii Waimalu. (We are hoping to board her for a few days.)We waited a couple of minutes for a staff member to return to the front and were helped. Our appointment was in the system and the nice staff person (Malia?) asked a few additional questions about my dog, also noting the info that was in her file, and explained what happens during the session in full detail. I left comfortable that she was in good hands. We returned and were serviced right after the person in front of us and given a summary of our dog’s session, along with the probable recommendations that would be emailed. At this point I’d the process for my anxious fur baby. The email came in several hours later with the expected recommendations of a pet success plan. I’m very hopeful Tails will be able to get my dog comfortable enough to be boarded. Prices seem reasonable. Will do another review after my dog begins her pet success plan.

I’m always nervous when going out of town and leaving my dogs in the care of someone else. However they took great care of my dogs. I loved their live feed every so often I would get a glimpse of them. Seeing them running around having fun made my feel so much better know my dogs were having a great time and being well cared for.

We have been with them for almost 8 years. They have been a lifesaver. Our dog is not very sociable as he's almost 11 years old! But with time and patience they have mixed him in with other dogs. Still not real sociable but he is mingling with them and that made us EXTREMELY HAPPY. He wants to mingle but not sure how to. He LOVES all his aunties and uncles. Be board him periodically, which he's not real happy about, but it gives us a peace of mind knowing he is well cared for there. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tails of Hawaii.

Tails has allowed my Chocolate lab “Nani” to socialize with others providing caring staff to help her grow. We are grateful for the webcams that allow me to periodically check on Nani throughout the day to observe her activity. The piece of mind knowing she is in a safe environment. I place my trust in the staff at Tails to care for a part of my family that we treat as our own child now that our children have grown and moved away. I did have an incident which Nani ingested possibly a rubber piece which Tails helped to monitor her during that period to ensure if her poop contained additional pieces since she was not eating. I know that “Nani” could get into mischief and also becomes snippy considering she is a rescue that has experienced Trauma. However, Tails monitors and reports her day. Nani comes home exhausted from a full day of playing and when we reach the store. she is wagging her tail and not putting on the brakes as we enter. We attended the 2024 Pet Fair in Mililani

Tails of Hawaii is amazing from daycare to boarding to training they do it all and are fantastic at it. Heather and the other trainers did amazing at giving my pup a reset and getting to stop negative reactions to other dogs. Mahalo to all the Tails of Hawaii staff.

I had to move myself, 3 dogs, and 2 cats from Hawaii to two separate cities in Ohio and I was such a wreck. My pets are my family! I almost went with another company but they had poor communication and kept sending the wrong itineraries which gave me such anxiety. I reached out to Happy Tails and they were super quick to get back to me and got the different itineraries right the first time and really did their best to put my worries to rest. They came to pick my pets up from my house and didn’t even bat an eye at how much I was crying saying goodbye to them. Needless to say, all my pets landed safely at their correct destinations and I am so thankful for all their help! They sent me updates and pictures of everyone during their pre-flight boarding stay. They paid attention to all the small details I sent about all my pets different quirks. I highly recommend using Happy Tails if you have to move your pets. Willow just had her first visit at Tails today and I'm so happy with how it went! I was so nervous because she's skittish around other dogs and some people so she's not super social but they were wonderful with her. 1 loved watching her on the webcams! They're planning on creating a Pet Success Plan for her so we can hopefully make her more confident and social. I'm so excited to see how much better she does with repeat visits and some special attention!

10/10 recommend this business. We used it to ship our cats from Hawaii to Uk. This was so stressful because we found out that they would need to be shipped but Erica helped us every step of the way. Until they cats left for the Airline and even followed up to let us know they were safe at boarding in Dallas. She was able to accommodate on the spot adjustments when the airline said the cats should be in a bigger carrier for their comfort. She was an extra one brought to the cargo shipping area for them. Erica was so kind to us and the kitties. Thank you Tail movers and Erica. You made the experience great.

I was very nervous to leave my kitty for 3 weeks at a boarding facility since it was going to be his first time being away from me for that long & he’s not super socialized (he only knows myself & my dog). Let me start by saying The on boarding process was very easy & fast. Tails of Hawaii also is priced really well (I did my research of boarding facilities before booking). & it was super convenient because the facility is 5 minutes away from my home. Upon drop off, I noticed it was very clean & well kept, the staff was very friendly & reassuring. Through out my kitty’s stay the staff sent me pictures, updates, & health updates during the entire time. It looked like my kitty had a great time socializing with other people & did well in his new environment. Tails of Hawaii really gave me peace of mind knowing my kitty was being well looked after & because of that I was able to enjoy my vacation. I will definitely be back for any more future boarding needs & recommend them To anyone! Tha

Our family had to PCS quickly, and within two days of contacting Tails, we were able to get my dog booked in their boarding facilities and his flight secured without any issues. Communication was so wonderful when getting everything planned out, and they gave me regular updates on my dog during his flight.
