Whether it's Funk, Dixieland, Jazz, Latin, Gospel, Klezmer or Polka. As seen on ABC, NBC, NY1 and more TV. Opened for the NY Philharmonic, toured abroad for the US State Department.
Street Beat Brass adds much more than a typical band to create the atmosphere you desire. We specialize in our mobility, as we are strolling horns and drums musicians untethered to electric chords, amps, stages, etc. We can lead a second line parade, create a theme of Mardi Gras, the Swing era, Roaring 20's and more.
Also great for any corporate function, surprise, flash mob, indoor or outdoor setting. Call for a free quote! Established in 2012. Trombonist-composer Jeff Fairbanks formed Street Beat Brass Band in 2012 with a vision for a completely mobile, acoustic band rooted in the traditions of New Orleans street brass bands; which is also one of his first and deepest musical influences.
He hand-picked a cast of top shelf NY Jazz musicians who also appear frequently on Broadway, have countless major acts to their credit, and also teach in prestigious Jazz schools in NYC.
Since forming the band has toured internationally for the US State Department, performed throughout greater NYC and New England and appeared in major festivals. It has also been featured on TV (NY1, Televen), national news (NY Daily News), and local news (Queens Tribune and more).
