Barnes & Noble in the Oak Park mall with an additional Starbucks Cafe inside. Very clean and organized facility with super helpful staff and a ton of unique inventory. Escalators and elevators to get to the second floor as well.

Loved the lady who checked me out. Oh I wish I could remember her name! She was so sweet and hilarious humor. Love good vibes and places that harness this down to the employees they hire. Speaks highly of the organization. Or maybe just this locations management? 🩷 …

Always clean, lovely aroma of new books with a slight hint of sweets and coffee. Wonderful staff. And the location has been around forever. Very well kept and cared for despite being in a mall. Great place to visit and makes me wish reading didn't put me to sleep.

I had not shopped Barnes and Noble for some time however my daughter 10 is really into Lego’s and wanted the Lego White House. We looked other places but to no avail they were out of stock or would not arrive till well after Christmas. The Barnes and Noble website said that there was one in stock in the store at Oak Park Mall where we were. We looked on their display shelves and did not see it. I inquired at the customer service counter. The guy at the counter seemed very busy but took the time to stop what he was doing to look for the item I was looking for. He checked their inventory and went and looked again. He went into the back room and came out empty handed and went and looked in another spot where some Lego sets were displayed and did not have much luck. He went back into the back room one more time and was back there for a bit. He finally came back holding the Lego White House architecture set we were looking for. This really made our 10 year old daughters Christmas. I didn’t

We love visitng this B&N, when we're in the area. Each year, on both my daughter's birthday, we travel to this location to get their Kids Club 🎂 Cupcake. On our last visit, we encountered the absolute SWEETEST employee. She was so helpful, going above & beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The cafe employees are always so nice as well.

They have a great selection of books, music and calendars. I love books so I enjoy coming here. There aren’t many book stores left because most people are buying their books online. I recommend coming here and actually buy physical books.

It is not as large as other B&N stores in the KC area but has a good book selection. It also has a coffee shop that sells Starbucks items and drinks. It is not as full featured as a full Starbucks. It does have a small seating area next to the coffee shop that is not part of the coffee shop that I have not seen in other B/N stores in the KC area.

1. Early Origins (1873–1970) The company's roots begin not in New York, but in Illinois. **1873: The story starts with Charles M. Barnes, who launched a book business from his home in Wheaton, Illinois. 1917: Charles's son, William Barnes, moved to New York and partnered with G. Clifford Noble. Together, they opened the first Barnes & Noble bookstore in New York City. **1932: The company established its famous flagship location at 18th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York City. 2. The Riggio Era & The "Superstore" (1971–2018) This is the period when Barnes & Noble became the brand most people recognize today, thanks to the vision of one man. 1971: Leonard Riggio, a young bookseller who had started his own small chain of college bookstores, acquired the struggling Barnes & Noble trade name and its flagship store. 1970s: Riggio pioneered the concept of a large-format "superstore." He was one of the first to heavily discount bestselling books, which helped fuel massive growth. 19

I shop at Barnes and Noble for LEGO. Many of their stores have a great selection of LEGO products. If you sign up for their membership, you can get 10% off on all purchases and receive 5% back in store credit rewards. Take advantage of the double points when they offer them!

We enjoy visiting this location when we visit overland Park. The location and parking is convenient and always clean and well maintained. It's nice that they have the children's section upstairs with private bathrooms that are always clean and well maintained.

TWO STORIES! I’ve got books, movies, DVDs, and vinyls period. This place is two stories and it seems like it’s the biggest Barnes & Noble I’ve been to. Staff is friendly and the place is clean couldn’t ask for much more. Play tip parking is crazy park by Dillards.

I've been looking for specific kpop merchandise which is pretty much non-existent for this area. I've found a couple of things at Walmart and Target, however, this particular Barnes & Noble has the biggest selection I've seen so far. Especially since I've been looking for Ateez merchandise which few stores carry. I was so exciting tp find merch I didn't even have yet without going to Amazon or the internet. I would highly recommend checking out this store if you're as big into kpop as I am.

Barnes and Nobles are pretty much all the same. The reason I like this one in particular is the staff. I always get the absolute best help with recommendations when I need something and I'm being vague. I've had help shopping for family members and kids, and finding books that may be more obscure. Everyone is so generous and knowledgeable. No matter how busy it is I never have to wait long for assistance at all. And an excellent Harry Potter section for my millennial comforts. 😊
