They have a great selection of books. I like to browse the bargain book section. It's also has a quiet, calming atmosphere.

What can I say; I like B&N. Quiet, clean, inviting. Friendly staff. Has a nice coffee and snack area. Kids section is good. Has music selections, though I've never used. Staff is willing to order most things you want that they don't have. Prices average for the chain, which is generally on the high side. Just wish they opened earlier :(

Was great to be back in one that was this size. Nice Cafe and workers were very helpful. I would be careful in the parking lot though, we almost got hit by people leaving twice while we were weren't moving

Even if you're not looking for books and magazines, Barnes & Noble has a lot of kinds of books and magazines. and of course, children's books are no exception to that. Such a large space. Also, they have a few chairs inside the store. There's a friendly atmosphere and it's a fun experience to just look around and see what you can find. All employees were wearing a face mask. They have a pretty fancy Starbucks inside the store. I highly recommend this book store.

Excellent bookstore. In contrast to a review that spoke poorly due to a light religious section, it's worth noting there's a HUGE Christian bookstore less than a mile down the way. I'm sure B&N is prioritizing their shelf space for where they can compete, and not some nefarious anti-christian agenda. They have a great selection in all other topics as well as games and journaling supplies

I walked in for “just one book” and walked out with a stack that could double as a small fortress. My latest haul includes The No-End House (creepy in the best way), Parable of the Sower (hauntingly prophetic and powerful), The Crescent Moon Tearoom (pure comfort in paperback form), The Warrior Princess Assassin (hello, fierce female leads!), and Mistborn (Brandon Sanderson, you wizard of world-building). The staff were lovely, the shelves were whispering sweet temptations, and the café smelled like plot twists and cinnamon. 10/10 would get lost in the stacks again. 📚✨ If you need me, I’ll be buried under a blanket with tea and five new fictional universes.

I love walking around bookstores — Barnes & Noble is no different. Something about wandering the aisles with a stack of books in my arms just feels right. The staff noticed me making my rounds and asked a few times if they could offload my pile (may or may not have looked like I was carrying a small library, lol) and hold them at the checkout. I politely declined, but I really appreciated their thoughtfulness and willingness to help. The store was clean, organized, and had that cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than you planned — quiet chatter in the background, soft music playing, and me walking around wishing the budget would stretch just a little further. A lovely experience.

Like other B&N stores; this one is always clean, organized with the large magazine section, games and puzzles and the gift shop section in the front. I always get friendly service from questions I may have to check out. Don’t ever leave Topeka!!

Special shout out to Miss Nancy who was working the counter this early afternoon, when I came to this store for probably the 100th time since I moved to Topeka. I've worked retail in the last few years and I have anxiety, so when I came in with a return of two books (which I didn't realize I already had on my shelves when I got them), I dropped the bag at the counter front counter with a quick explanation because Miss Nancy had a line of customers to check out. I did my shopping and I let Miss Nancy know, "hey I'm the lady with the bag of returns, I highlighted which two books I'm returning on the receipt. I've got my membership card and the card I paid with to be safe, and I'll first be paying with two gift cards." I felt soooo gratified by how Miss Nancy said to a myself and coworker about how she appreciated I was organized, and wished more customers were like me 😊 it felt just like when I was a kid and I'd bring in my library books before they were overdo, and the librarian would

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a Barnes & Noble. Although I hear they’re making a comeback. This location was properly staffed. A great selection and of course hot fresh Starbucks, coffee.
