Sitka Sound and the maze of small islands and passages that fringe the rugged outer coast of Baranof Island offer some of the most spectacular sea kayak terrain in the world. This amazing habitat also supports an abundance of wildlife, including: humpback & killer whales, sea lions, porpoise, harbor seals and ever-curious sea otters.

Sitka Sound Ocean Adventures was founded by our friends John & Barb DeLong in 1994. Alison and I purchased the business in 2009. We presently operate trips with a small group of very friendly and dedicated guides. Our goal is to stay small so we can get to know our guests, and share with them the Southeast Alaska we have gotten to know so well in our 25 years of exploring.
