We also offer music sails, "chowda and lobsta roll" dinner sails, and specialty sails from May through October. Sailing in historic Gloucester Harbor, the Lannon specializes in corporate outings and teambuilding sails, weddings, birthday parties, and private events of all types. It's a great place for a party! Established in 1997. In 1996 Tom Ellis went out into the West Gloucester woods and began cutting the trees down for his boatbuilding project. He hired 11th generation Essex boatbuilder Harold Burnham to design the schooner and a band of shipwrights to help build what was the first schooner to be built in 50 years in Essex. The keel was laid in December of 1996. Six and a half months later, the Lannon, named for Capt. Tom's fisherman grandfather, was launched.
The Ellis family (Capt. Tom and son, Capt. Heath) sail from May til October out of Gloucester, America's oldest fishing port, and promise you a good time. So, join the Ellis family and join the fun!see more
