Specialties: Rob The Mover is a full-service moving company in NYC, NY. We service the greater New York City area with an exceptional customer focus. At RTM, we consider your personal satisfaction our primary purpose and are equipped to handle any moving and storage need you may require. Our signature services include local moving, commercial, office, and business moving or relocations, long-distance moves, piano moving, packing and unpacking services, and local storage. When you choose Rob The Mover you are treated like family and immediately benefit from our team's decades of experience and client service. Our business relies on referrals from satisfied customers and we are proud to have built long-term relationships. Established in 2002. Rob The Mover (Rob M) The actual truck I used to drive into Ground Zero...I was working for a non-profit and would bring loads of gloves, boots, masks, food, etc. into the zone to assist with the workers. When our operation was over, a lady who was associated with the organization starting using the truck personally.
When gas prices started to rise in 2002, this lady wanted to get rid of the truck. I got word of it, and thought I could make a little extra cash helping people move things from place to place. I bought the truck and started placing ads on Craigslist. Soon, I was getting more business than I could handle.
I liken my business to the teachers in the Midwest (where I grew up) who would mow lawns, do landscaping, paint houses, etc. as summer income...this is that kind of work...NYC style! It gets me outside and talking to adults (as opposed to teenagers...) and helps ease the burden of a low teacher salary.
