Street parking was full, so we used the valet. Reservations had been made and restaurant was full and lots of energy. The food was nicely prepared, and as ordered. Wine list was good, 2-3x markup...about average for this level. Elk chops and Ky strip were good choices. Combo played Holiday favorites at a pleasant level. They comped us an awesome sampler desert and all sang Happy Anniversary in Sombreros ( just kidding about the last part) Everyone(even the valet) wished us a happy annivetsary. Great experience! This evening we went with our entire family, and they were able to accommodate us, even when they had another large event coinciding. The waitress was considerate, knowledgeable and attentive. The manager checked on us a couple times and was very gracious. The food was simply delicious and perfectly prepared. When dining at Varanese you get the full experience of an excellent restaurant - delicious food, a beautiful ambiance and exquisite service. We are fortunate to have such a consistently good restaurant in our Louisville area. Read more
