I worked as a helper for an electrical contractor, quickly moving into finishing electrical devices in new homes on piecework and then on to rough ins. Put 4 yrs in and tested for the journeyman's exam and passed in 1985. I also have a background working in carpentry, mostly frame. I'm a avid homesteader and learned how to fix and repair almost everything on my own. I did work alongside of many other pros in many other trades.
