Everything about this school has exceeded my expectations, and my kids really love their teachers and the makeup classes. I appreciate the fact they don’t have a 24 hour cancellation policy, which has saved us so many times when my kids were sick. Hi! My two daughters started piano lessons with Julie in spring. One of the daughters didn’t have an experience and after a few lessons she started to play songs with both hands right away. It gives them great pleasure to be in company of Julie and learn more about beautiful music. Girls have already participated in spring/summer recital which is a great opportunity to share your work and also to learn from others. Good luck to everyone! I wanted to write a review, as I am an adult player attending Purple Deer and can’t get enough of practicing my piano. I have no children. I’m in my late 20s and have always dreamed of having the knowledge of playing piano, so I decided about 4 months ago to inquire. Megan is my instructor. Megan is helping me learn the songs I enjoy at a level that I can understand. If I tell her I want to play a certain song, she does what she can to find the piece at my level. She’s patient and kind and so encouraging. It can be intimidating starting as an adult, but I feel comfortable with Megan. I look forward to our lessons and I can’t wait to see where she takes me each week. Adults can play too- you’re never too old :)

My daughter has been with Julie and my son with Megan for the last 1.5 years. They are both brilliant teachers. My daughter has made so much progress because Julie is great at pushing her with the right sons. Megan has been excellent with my 4 year old son who looks forward to his classes every week. There are great recitals and thoughtful music sharing sessions. Highly recommend !

Purple Deer has been great for our kids. My triplets take lessons for three different instruments….all in one place! Super convenient and super communicative which is what every parent wants! They even mail out a cute monthly newsletter. Recital and group performance opportunities. Perfect for the turbulent years of learning music!!!

So glad we found this music school! They offer a great variety of instruments, and the teachers are very encouraging. The owner Ms. Julie really cares about the students and does a great job helping families find the right teacher. The staff are friendly and easy to work with. Our 7 year old has been learning guitar here for 5 months. His first teacher was better with older students it seemed, so he wasn’t enjoying the lessons as much as we’d hoped. We were able to move a different day with a different teacher, who is wonderful. He is experienced working with children and has done a great job. Our son has been really enjoying learning and is currently learning his first song! It’s clear he has been taught the basics, which is what we wanted from the lessons. Purple Deer was accommodating is changing days and we have been pleased with our son’s progress. There is also a parent waiting area, which is appreciated!
