Specialties: Portland Fire Engine Co. operates unique narrated sightseeing tours in Portland Maine aboard a Vintage Fire Engine. Come and explore Portland Maine's peninsula as we drive along the cobble stoned streets past landmarks that include lighthouses, civil war forts, and the amazing historical architectural buildings that make up our wonderful Maine city. You'll be able to see so much of Portland Maine in our 50 minute tours aboard our Vintage Fire Engine. Our tours are narrated by local guides who love sharing their knowledge of Portland Maine. Our tours are also the perfect activity to enjoy when you arrive in Portland Maine to get to know our city by the sea! Established in 2012. Our unique Maine tour company history is an inspiring story in itself. Owner Keith Nuki had already been working with many of the local tour companies in Portland Maine’s Old Port and is a huge history buff as well as a car guy. It was this combination of these interests and passions that helped him create and establish Vintage Fire Engine Tours around the peninsula of Portland Maine. He wanted a shorter tour of Portland Maine than what the local trolley tours offered. He also wanted a tour vehicle that really reflected Portland Maine’s past. A vintage fire truck seemed like the perfect tour vehicle and made sense considering Portland Maine’s great fire history. Keith retro-fitted the truck so it could seat 13 people safely and mounted a large flat screen TV so you can also view photos of what Portland Maine used to look like back in the day as you drive by different landmarks. He hired a great team of local Maine tour guides to narrate the Portland Maine fire truck tour.
