PG&J stands for the owner, Gina's, rescue pups from Texas: Paco, Ginnie and J Roddy. Gina and her husband moved back to Louisville after living in Texas for 7 years. While in Austin, they were members of dog park bar called Yard Bar. They absolutely loved it! It was great to have a place to relax and enjoy a beer or cocktail while their pups played with their furry friends. They moved back home to Louisville in 2017 and wanted to share their experience with other pet parents and dog lovers. Through the ups and downs of starting a business from scratch, even a pandemic, they opened their doors on January 19, 2021. The staff and customers have loved every minute of watching pups romp around the 12,000 square feet of off-leash, indoor/outdoor play space. Their customers have called them the "Happiest Bar in Louisville" and plan to stay that way for a long time. Whether you have a pup or not, there's something for everyone to enjoy at PG&J's Dog Park Bar!
