We moved to Iowa 5 yrs ago and our two Airedales were given exceptional care at Petersen’s Pet Hospital. They have now both passed, the last one was lovingly helped to die in such a caring manner. Now our new cat is being cared for at Petersen’s. We can’t say enough about the wonderful staff and facility!

The whole team is amazing at taking care of your pet. I have two pocket pets. I have a Syrian hamster named Prometheus and a dwarf hamster named Lucian. Lucian has to go in for teeth trims and sometimes nail trims pretty regularly but when he gets sick, his doctor’s right on getting him better! Prometheus usually isn’t the one to get sick but now that they’re getting older he’s been going quite a bit. The whole team has a lot of empathy. They’re very educated and they take the time to explain to you exactly what you need to do to get your pet better they are there to listen and truly give it some thought when you say something Very communicative easy care instructions super fast help! The vibes are absolutely immaculate. You can tell you’re around good people right when you step into the Building! 💕 The boys love Dr. Conrad and the entire team! We couldn't ask for better! We were desperate, our dogs were sick, our current vet wasn't helping! From the recommendation of several people we knew we went to Petersen Pet hospital Dr. Hannah Green talked to us very kindly, explained the test results & a plan of treatment & expected cost. It's been amazing, Jax Glaucoma is under control, Lucy is healthy & growing. Everyone has been great! It's very comforting to know the people treating your dogs actually care, from the minute you walk in the door, until you leave, return home they are with you. We are truly grateful for everyone!

I was really pleased with the care we got. Dr.McGinty and the whole team were incredibly professional. Honestly, our cat isn’t the easiest boy but they handled him so gently and patiently. You can tell they truly care about their patients, and that really means a lot 🥹. What impressed me even more was that they called the next day to check how he was doing after the anesthesia (thanks Jess ☺️). It made me feel like we actually mattered to them, not just as another appointment. It was really touching. I would definitely recommend this clinic 🤩.

I have had some pretty terrible experiences with other veterinarians when my dogs were dealing with illness and injury. One didn’t even physically look at the injury and just told me to clean it up at home to see if I could find a crack in a nail. After sharing the experience with coworkers, three of them recommended Petersen Pet Hospital and I’m so glad they did. I was absolutely blown away by the level of care we received there. The staff made my dog feel comfortable and treated them like a beloved family member. They examined my dog thoroughly, kept me updated on pricing as we went and actually wanted to treat the main issue and not just the symptoms. I didn’t feel rushed, the prices felt reasonable and most importantly I feel like I can trust the care my pets are getting. So grateful to have found this clinic!!!

TL:DR 10/10 everything! Patient care, customer service, and just all around the only people I trust with my babies (3 cats) health and well being. I have been taking my cats to Petersen Pet Hospital for a couple years now and after a different vet could not give me any reassurance or help with my oldest being diagnosed with diabetes as soon as we started seeing the great team at Petersen we knew we had found people we could truly trust and depend on to have anwsers and a spectacular action plan moving forward after we left their building. They dont just throw information and bills at you they give you in depth real time facts and work with you to move forward whether thats with bills or serious life threatining issues. Our second oldest had a fluid buildup around her lungs and they helped us understand and pointed us in the right direction to get her cared for and made sure we had what we needed to give her a chance at surviving moving forward she is doing great now thanks to Petersen

There is not another vet I would want to take our dog or any other pet. Dr, Lindsey Leo and her entire care team are some of the most caring and understanding people I’ve encountered. They are thorough and the cost compared to others in town, are very competitive. Our dog Axel is always excited to see the office when we pull in, and is pulling the leash to go inside.

Dr. McGinty is a very intelligent vet, kind, and always provides top-level care to our animals. He sees both of our labs and our holland lop rabbit. He provided unconditional love to another lab of ours who we lost to cancer. We never have to worry at Petersons Pet Hospital. Our animals are always in the best hands. Dr. McGinty takes his time and is incredibly through in his exams. He answers all questions and is always so happy to see our animals ❤️.

Of all the vets I’ve gone to, Dr McGinty is the one I have felt the most confident with. I started with him when I got my rabbit but now he sees all of my pets. The prices are also very reasonable for Cedar Rapids. There are cheaper ones in the area but they are a 45 minute drive so it’s nice to have someone close that I trust and who isn’t also way overcharging for services.
