Sean removed our kitchen’s ceramic tile countertops and oversaw the installation of our custom granite. He then hooked up our sink and all the faucets and garbage disposal, replaced our Thermador range-top with an updated configuration, and replaced our built-in dishwasher. As an extra bonus he fixed an outdoor lighting system, had screens repaired and fixed our leaky toilet. He is a man of many talents.He is highly skilled and knowledgeable. His work is flawless. (One fine bit of finish work was his meticulous painting of the wall adjacent to the top of the granite backsplash. I hired Sean based on a couple of other glowing recommendations on Nextdoor. I needed someone who could take out an old bathroom vanity, paint and patch the bathroom, put in a new vanity and faucet, as well as build and hang a medicine cabinet and hang some hooks, that always seemed to fall out when I hung them. Sean came promptly and gave me a very fair bid. As he was putting in the sink, he realized that Wayfair sent me a sink that did not fit the vanity and was incredibly helpful by shopping locally for a sink that would actually fit. It turned out not to be so easy. He went above and beyond on my job, and was incredibly patient with the whole process of me trying to deal with Wayfair and get a replacement sink from them, that kept being delayed. I hired Sean from Onyx General Construction Company for a home addition and a complete remodel of my house. The project involved an extensive renovation of a 3,500-square-foot space, including four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a powder room, two living rooms, and a 400-square-foot kitchen. Onyx reworked the entire interior floor plan, adding a hallway and fully remodeling the layout. They gutted all the flooring and much of the walls. Additionally, all the plumbing, electrical systems, windows, and doors were replaced with modern upgrades. Onyx also built a custom kitchen with hand crafted cabinets and added skylights to bring in natural light. They performed extensive framing and foundation work, in order to alter much of the interior and exterior structure. To complete the transformation, they removed the old siding and replaced it with new stucco, giving the home a fresh, modern exterior.

I highly recommend Onyx Construction owned by Sean and his work. I worked with him on two projects. The first was for my bathroom. He repaired the incomplete job done by a former handy man and installed a new surround around my bathtub, installed new plumbing fixtures and patched and painted. He did a fantastic job, kept everything clean and was very professional throughout. Just as important though, he communicated throughout the project (even when I was out of town while he worked, he sent me daily photos and updates.) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We hired Onyx General Construction Company for a complete kitchen and laundry room remodel as well as replacing the hardwood flooring throughout much of the house. We chose to go with Onyx after meeting with and receiving quotes from three companies. Sean was very quick in responding to the initial request and providing a quote. The Onyx team started demolition very soon after being awarded the project and made a lot of progress in a short amount of time. Although this project was obviously very disruptive to our daily lives, the Onyx team did everything possible to minimize the impact and the team was very respectful and friendly. They never made any more noise than was necessary to get the work done which I have found to be an issue with many contractors.We went into this project with very high standards and the Onyx team did a great job of meeting them. There were discoveries and problems and delays along the way, but those are expected with a house of this age.
