At Nordia House you can find events and programs celebrating all Nordic cultures including: concerts, classes & workshops, lectures, festivals and more! Nordia House is also available for rentals including but not limited to: corporate meetings, weddings, celebrations of life, and more. Established in 2015. Nordia House, Nordic Northwest's cultural center in SW Portland, opened its doors in June 2015. The center contains an exhibit hall, which hosts traveling national art exhibitions on a variety of Nordic topics; the Great Hall, where larger events and activities are held; and an in-house Swedish cafe called Broder Söder.
Nordia House was designed by Brian Melton of DiLoreto Architecture and built by Andersen Construction.
Nordia House's extensive grounds also includes Fogelbo, a historic home containing one of the largest private collections of Nordic antiques and folk arts in the United States. Fogelbo was deeded to Nordic Northwest in 2014 by Sir Ross Fogelquist, the former honorary consulate of Sweden and avid member of the local Nordic community.
