About Nomads animal encounter
We are a private owned wildlife education center that is hands on and completely all outdoors. We are open by RESERVATION ONLY everyday weather permitting. It is $35 per person for ages 2 and up. You do need to schedule an appointment beforehand and pay a $10 per person deposit to hold your spots that goes towards your overall balance. If it is raining, snowing or other extreme weather we do have to close and we will either reschedule for another day or refund your deposit. Our tours last about 1.5 to 2 hours. The cost of admission includes everything and we provide treats at no additional cost for the animals. For the most current list of animals you can visit us on our Facebook page. It was a great experience. You can tell that the animals are well cared for. They are all rescues from terrible places & you can tell that the owners and staff put allot of thought into the well being of each animal which was really important to me. Also you really get to be hands on with each animal by petting and feeding them but the owners don’t force anything on the animals and if they seem overwhelmed they will just direct you to another animal, which is awesome in my book. Thank you for making my daughter’s birthday such a memorable and fun experience. Despite the windy conditions, we had a fantastic time interacting with all the animals and seeing how friendly many of them were. Our guides were very kind and knowledgeable too, and they did a great job of ensuring the safety of everyone. The love and respect they have for the animals under their care is very much apparent.Getting to pet and hold an incredibly sweet skunk and opossum was one of the highlights of our visit. Being followed around by the emu and the curious black turkey was so adorable and heartwarming too. I’ll always cherish the look of pure joy on my daughter’s face when she gave belly rubs to Spanky the wolf, and of course, the epic howling the wolves gave us in response to ours was just the cherry on top!You guys get an 11/10.
