Such an amazing zoo! Great variety of animals and habitats. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We saw a training session with the polar bear and stayed after and asked a lot questions and at no point did I feel like I was bothering them. There's so much to see I suggest spending two days there. Also make sure you have comfortable sneakers on because there is a lot of walking.Visited onPublic holidayWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNo

Great zoo! It is massive but insanely crowded, they need to limit the amount of people in either the zoo itself or in the individual exhibits. It honestly seemed like a safety and fire hazard at times. We went during nice cool weather, while some of the animals were hidden, it made for a nice walk. Highly recommend!Visited onWeekendWait time30–60 minReservation recommendedYes

We recently visited the North Carolina Zoo, and overall it was such a beautiful experience! What I really loved about this zoo is how natural everything feels. It’s not just about animals in enclosures — it truly feels like you’re walking through nature with scenic views, open spaces, and peaceful surroundings. It’s perfect if you enjoy long walks and being outdoors. We went during the winter season, so unfortunately many of the animals were not very active, and some were not out at all. Because of that, I would definitely recommend visiting between April and October when the weather is warmer and you can see more animals awake and moving around. I’m sure the experience would be even better during those months. The zoo is very well maintained, clean, and organized. You can tell they take good care of the environment. The ticket prices are also very reasonable for the size of the zoo and the overall experience. Just make sure to wear comfortable shoes because there’s a lot of walking!Over
