My child has taken lessons from 3 different music schools in Brooklyn and Park Slope Music Lessons is the best! My child plays multiple instruments and his teacher, Matt, has been amazing teaching him both trumpet and piano. Also, Matt has helped expand my child’s music knowledge.

My two daughters (aged 9 and 12) are learning the piano (and one is also learning the drums) with Paul. We are so grateful to have him as our instructor. Paul is patient and kind, and has this wonderful ability to break down and explain what he is teaching the girls (and why) in a way they can understand and appreciate as they are learning. Andrew/Park Slope Music Lessons has done a WONDERFUL job of not just teaching my two sons music (piano and guitar both theory and practice) but also instilled a great love of music. The kids love practicing because Andrew makes it fun. The breadth and depth (from classical to rock and jazz) that is covered really opens the kids eyes to the joy of music. I cannot recommend it more - if you can get in you should!

Our 5 year old daughter has now been taking lessons for 6 months from Tasha Solomita and we are thrilled with the results. Tasha is fun, warm, encouraging and seems to really understand how to engage with our daughter and help build her confidence. She is making wonderful progress but, more importantly, she loves to play. And we've also noticed many of the skills and approaches she's learning from piano are effecting her attitude in other aspects of her life. It's truly a great place for early musical education for children.

My 14-year-old son had been taking lessons with Park Slope Music Lessons for 6 years. His teacher, Sean, is fantastic! My son looks forward to every lesson as Sean keeps him engaged with a range of different music. He is challenging my son further now but still keeps the lessons enjoyable and the practice manageable. We love hearing how far our son has come and enjoying the sounds of piano in our home. Our 8-year-old daughter has been taking lessons for 2 1/2 years. After watching Sean teach her brother for years, she was so excited to start. She began lessons remotely during Covid and with the Music Color Method, Sean was able to teach her at a great pace even through Zoom. She now takes in-person lessons and loves improving with Sean and learning new pieces. We are grateful the kids want to keep playing and that they look forward to lessons each week!

We've been part of Park Slope Music for 6 years!! Our twin girls play both piano & flute with our incredible teacher Frannie Brodeur. Since the age of 4, our girls have grown with Frannie... not just their musical skills but also their love for music. She is amazing with kids. Andrew, the program director & founder, does an excellent job of communicating with parents... regularly offering thoughtful advice, encouragement, and wisdom. The program puts on wonderful recitals which have become treasured memories for our family. In fact, the whole program is basically part of our family.

Our family has gotten in deep with Musicolor- first my 12-y.o. son started piano lessons, then his 8-y.o. brother wanted in on the action, and then their Dad (me) decided to try his hand. Our instructors have been personable and informative working musicians who really tailor the instruction to the student- it's notable that three guys with very different temperament have all been making steady progress. The fact that instruction can happen in our home makes the scheduling for busy kids that much easier.
