I gotta say, I chose this practice out of 3 other referrals from the Tootharium in Rutherford. Another amazing location that cares for children. The spot felt right and I’m more than satisfied. My daughter has been taken care of with compassion and patience, they actually try to get to know her, which in my experience over the years, is not so easy to come by. Everything is explained thoroughly, the dental assistant (I wish I could remember her name right now) she’s amazing, careful, thoughtful…Dr Chyun one of the coolest dentists I’ve ever met, calm and well mannered, he makes you feel at ease. The receptionist is always welcoming and polite and she likes to think ahead to help in anyway she can. And all of this treatment you get once your inside but then there’s walking inside. It’s clean, it smells amazing, it doesn’t feel stuffy…you can breathe, something interesting is usually playing on the tv while you wait. I had an amazing experience with Dr.Marlen and his staff! I have always had extreme fear of dentists and have avoided visits… after a recommendation from a friend I went to see Dr Marlen and for the first time ever, I felt comfortable in the dentist chair. He was extremely gentle, explained everything he was going to do even while he was doing it. His staff was extremely accommodating to my fears and anxiety providing me with headphones glasses an event Chapstick felt like I was in a salon! Dr Marlen did not rush and really took his time to fix my issue. At no point was I in pain or discomfort. I wanted to share my experience with Dr Marlen and his fantastic team. My story is slightly different as I didn’t go looking for a perfect smile. I had an issue that several dentists referred to as a ‘very serious’ issue with my bite. The couple of options offered to me were quite honestly scary and somewhat life altering. I was skeptical about seeing Dr Marlen as he is about 60 miles away from me. He suggested a different approach to correcting my bite and getting my bite functional, he completely redid my upper and some bottom teeth to get the bite corrected.
