I ordered a book from this book store on Amazon, but put in the wrong address. I contacted the owner and told him my situation and he fixed it Immediately. I wanted to get the new Malcolm X bio for my son Malcolm. I live in AZ and looked for independent bookstores in LA on the web. Malik is black-owned and near his apartment so I placed an order. They CALLED me to tell me the book was on back order. And a short time later they emailed me to tell me the book had arrived and they were holding one for Malcolm. GREAT SERVICE!

This place is awesome. It has books by many black authors that won't get placed in other book stores. It also has unique gifts like handbags, mugs and calendars. Whenever I go the the mall, I stop by. Sometimes Malik is there and we chat. This place has books for all ages covering fact and fiction. Check it out when you are in the area.
