Maine Foodie Tours was established in 2009, after owner/director Pam Laskey moved back to her home state of Maine and found the town of Portland to be full of culinary talent that offered great potential to an entrepreneurial spirit willing to showcase it! She began the walking tours as a one-woman show, featuring many foods that are native to Maine, and creative interpretations, prepared in delicious ways. In 2011, Maine Foodie Tours branched out to Kennebunkport, in 2012, Bar Harbor, and in 2015 Rockland adding more foodie guides along the way.
The Portland Culinary Walking Tours itinerary is the base for the primary tour that runs in each city. In Portland, tours have expanded to offer food and entertainment at varying times throughout the day. These include the Lunchtime Lobster Crawl, Happy 2-Hour Tour, Sherpa Tour, and varying boat tours on the Casco Bay.
