We offer a variety of guided tasting experiences for small and large groups, each led by a Macari Wine Educator. Tasting experiences are available by appointment on our covered deck or in our barrel cellar, and we offer unique experiences in our Private Tasting Suite. Established in 1996. Macari Vineyards, located on the North Fork of Long Island in Mattituck, New York, is owned and operated by the Macari Family. The winery was founded by owners Joseph Macari Sr., his wife, Katherine, and Joseph Macari Jr., who is at the helm of the winery with his wife, Alexandra and their children. The Macari family has owned the 500-acre waterfront estate for over fifty years, though Macari Vineyards was not established until 1995. In June 2009, the Macari family opened a second tasting room located on the Main Road in the town of Cutchogue, adding twenty acres to their vineyard.
The Macari's are careful environmental stewards of the land what were once potato fields have been transformed to a 200 acre vinegarden with additional fields of compost and farmland. Macari Vineyards is also a home to Texas longhorns, Spanish goats, horses, ducks and rabbits.
