Kevin has been so helpful in teaching our 3rd grader the guitar. The lessons are over zoom, and I wasn't sure how that would go, but it's been great! Our son is learning, and Kevin does a good job making the lessons fun and enjoyable. He also gives enough steps to make it challenging, but not overwhelming. Highly recommend.

Kevin is an excellent teacher. I wasn't sure how zoom lessons would go over with an 8 year old, but it's been a good experience all the way around. He's learning quickly, and Kevin has made it a fun process for him. The lessons are challenging, but very well paced for a younger kid. I'm excited to keep watching their progress!

Kevin is so patient and an excellent music teacher. My child is shy and within 15 minutes of meeting Kevin, our son felt comfortable to learn and asked me to leave the room. Kevin also uses play to get the students to engage and gives them hand written practice lesson plans. He makes learning music look so easy. He cares deeply about the students and has family events to engage families and students to build confidence. I highly recommend Kevin’s music school.

Kevin has been an awesome drum teacher for my 8 year old son. His technique is the perfect blend between music fundamentals and playing songs for fun. I love that if you give him enough notice that you need to miss a lesson, he will record a video lesson. We rewatch those over an over! His level of professionalism with running his business from communication to accounting is also impressive. It's hard to wear a lot of hats, but he does it well! We highly recommend Kevin!

We just finished our first student showcase and it was the best recital/ kids art experience we have ever attended. We were literally at a rock concert! Kevin makes learning fun and my son absolutely loves the Jam Bands. His confidence, musicality, and enthusiasm has increased exponentially since starting at Jam to the beat. She recently just won an electric guitar and a free lesson from her school ( Jam to the beat performed at her school and did a drawing for one student to win a musical instrument and she won!!!). Kevin does a great job working with my daughter. I play guitar as well but am a terrible teacher. I've been excited to see my daughter learn. He approached it in a way that worked perfectly for her age and ability while letting her pick the songs she wanted to learn and adapted them to make them easier to play. She has taken to writing songs, has learned to sing and play at the same time, and learned notes and some basic music theory on the way. He has offered jam band sessions where kids get together to play (frequency has been impacted by covid) and recently started an online guitar games that she loves. This music school is SO great, completely different than any other music lessons we’ve ever done. The kids play fun songs they are interested in, and get to jam with other students of different experience levels.What is REALLY cool, though, are the performances. Kevin, Danielle, and the other staff put together the MOST FUN community concert! The students are in bands and they play excellent music in a fun concert environment, it’s really amazing! I cannot recommend this place enough!

There are so many stage performance opportunities throughout the year, which are incredibly wonderful!My son truly enjoys the whole learning path, from private lessons, to the Big Jam group lesson, and the big shows and rehearsals.
