I am attending the school through the Veteran's Administration, due to being totally disabled. I never thought I would be able to learn to play guitar, but the school has proven me wrong! The instructors are very patient with me and only after three lessons, I can play a little Blues guitar. I highly recommend this school to everyone who ever wanted to learn to play a musical instrument or even to learn to sing.

I have been taking guitar lessons at Hollywood Academy off and on for a few months. I learned what I could on my own and was at a point where I felt stuck. The instruction at the Academy really got me to the next level. I have a long way to go but due to the progress I have made I am playing every day and eager to learn more. Singing was something I was always shy of doing. Hollywood Academy of Music really helped me come out of my shell and show the world what, with some help and guidance, music is all about. I sang here and there never under the wing of a professional voice teacher till I met two who helped me become a better singer. They both had taught me so much about music and about enjoying it every day. I feel more confident with my voice now. I feel like I've gotten better. These voice teachers are nice and they have a lot of patience with their students. I'm glad I got to be a student of this academy.

Honestly this is the best school for taking private music lessons in Los Angeles. From day one, Everyone at Hollywood Academy of Music and Arts treats you like family. Kirk, who is the director of the Academy, is very kind and cares for his students. I'm currently taking voice lessons with Dan and so far he has helped me a lot in developing my singing skills. He's very patient and he's very clear on teaching you the techniques to learn how to sing. I highly recommend Hollywood Academy of Music and Arts.

My 5 yo son has been taking lessons here for several months. His teacher Nadine is great. She's super with kids, with just the right combo of patience and firmness. I'm not crazy about the tiny rooms that bleed sound between walls, and I wish there was a better parking set-up. But in the end, it's the teacher that counts the most, and we're happy here for the time being.

My son has been taking drum lessons there for almost two years. His progress has been great. The teacher is very patient, and really motivates him with great assignments. He's learning to read rhythmic notation as well as how to play. It's a good balance between theory and play.

I have been attending the Hollywood Academy of Music for about a year now for vocal lessons and only have the highest regard for this school. The administrative staff are extremely kind, professional, and accommodating. They were patient in answering my many questions upon enrollment and continue to make sure I have a positive experience. The music instructors are excellent. I can only speak for the vocal instructors, but the two that I've had, as well as the occasional subs, are all very talented vocalists and incredible instructors (the latter being especially important because being a stellar musician is one thing, but being able to teach it is a completely different skill set). Lastly, the West LA location is very convenient with ample parking. It is also reasonably priced.Overall, I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in music lessons.

Samantha is great and always kind. My drum teacher, Nils, is so talented and knowledgable, it is fantastic to work with him every week. I have been taking guitar and voice classes at the Hollywood Academy since 2020, when I picked up music as a COVID hobby. Starting off online, I was skeptical about what would come out of my music lessons but the patience of my instructors, Andrew and Selena, put me at ease. Fast forward two years, my classes are the highlight of my week! The staff here are courteous, friendly, and just create a really positive vibe in the space - starting from the front desk that has never been anything less than amazeballs, to my teachers who are not just great teachers, but insanely talented musicians. The school itself has always been flexible with me regarding scheduling and I’ve aways been able to receive make ups (when I ask to reschedule my class on time). Bach which are relatively complex.My teacher is Regina and she is awesome! She is very knowledgeable, passionate about music, patient with me. Regina keeps lessons interesting, finds new partitures that are fun and adequately difficult for my level.
