Frequently, your experience at GRSC begins with a complimentary lesson with one of our full time certified teaching professionals. You can start with instruction or match play. For juniors, we have created and follow a specific pathway to create lifelong tennis players. Established in 1973. Guilford Racquet & Swim Club was built in 1973. In 1977, Ron and Susan Netter purchased the indoor club and added the outdoor courts, pools and snack bar in 1978, thus transforming the facility into a year round club suitable for all ages. In 1997, a beautiful playground was designed and installed at the club and is greatly enjoyed for much of the year. In 2010, the indoor courts were re-surfaced with Deco Turf ~ far softer than hard courts. In 2012, a number of facilities enhancements occured including: new indoor lighting, re-coating and Cushion Extreme on outdoor courts, junior lines on all 12 courts, 2 permanent junior courts, 2 new paddle courts, re-positioning of playground for optimal use, new ping pong porch, renovation of poolside bathrooms, outdoor lights to provide late night tennis and swimming all summer long and additional parking for our members' ease.
