Over 85 rare pre-World War II automobiles and hundreds of historic fashions, all exhibited in a 25,000 square foot building on the Wedgewood Resort property in Fairbanks Alaska. Established in 2009. In 1974, owner Tim Cerney purchased his first car - a 1951 Dodge Wayfarer. Over the years, he learned more about antique cars and the US's colorful history so he began curating a top-class collection of antique autos.
The collection encompasses over 90 vehicles. They range from very obscure to the legendary. Some are the only ones left in the world! Remarkably, museum staff and volunteers drive all but a few of the vehicles, making this a true "living museum."
Visitors are also treated to vintage fashions that complement the cars. The Fountainhead collection is the largest historic fashion collection in the Pacific Northwest.
Together, the cars, photographs, and fashions illustrate in a world-class way how technology, culture and style evolved as America fell in love with newfound speed and mobility provided by the automobile.see more
