I was born in Newark in 40 now. I always wanted to stop in here but was scared as it looked too hood. I live in NY now and went to church to hear my mother speak in Newark. After church and lunch I was driving by and me and fiancé stopped in for two drinks. It was nice in there. Old heads there. They don’t look for trouble. Grown and sexy kinda of crowd. More grown than sexy thou. But someone told me this is Sunday. Wait until Sunday night it does get crazy in here.

I didn't go into the facility because of covid restrictions, but my two friends went in, and they liked the bar. I ordered take out, and the pastrami was excellent. I mean tender strips of real beef flavored to perfection. If ever in the Newark area, you have to try it.

It was like if you’re a first timer like we were you’d have to observe the veterans to make it work lolThey prefer cash over cards.But the music was great and the vibes were great. Kudos to the cook hands down!!! I don't usual eat bar food...but omg the food was AMAZING!!! Had to even order a to go dish. Music and environment was good. Will definitely go back just for the food!!! Hard to order drinks because bartenders don't really circle around the entire bar to check on customers or acknowledge people who have just approached the bar. I went to Lincoln Park Music fest in Newark and ran up the hill to People's Choice, to have a drink with a friend..can I tell you I couldn't leave, the music, the people..just cutting up..there was a raffle for I can't remember and they fed us..with food in the back.
